How to Make Your Own Natural Insect Repellent

Insect bites can be irritating and sometimes even dangerous. While commercial insect repellents are available, many people prefer natural alternatives. Fortunately, you can make your own natural insect repellent with just a few ingredients.

Here's what you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup of witch hazel

  • 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar

  • 40 drops of essential oil (eucalyptus, citronella, lavender, or peppermint)

  • A spray bottle

Instructions:

  1. Mix the witch hazel and apple cider vinegar in a bowl.

  2. Add 40 drops of essential oil to the mixture. You can choose from eucalyptus, citronella, lavender, or peppermint, depending on your preference.

  3. Stir the mixture well until all the ingredients are blended.

  4. Transfer the mixture into a spray bottle.

  5. Shake well before use, and spray the repellent on your skin and clothes as needed.
