How to Build a DIY Outdoor Bench Using Cinder Blocks and Wood

Are you looking for an affordable and stylish outdoor seating option? Look no further than a DIY outdoor bench made from cinder blocks and wood! This project is easy to complete and can be customized to fit your outdoor space. Here's how to do it:

Materials:

  • Cinder blocks (6-8 depending on the desired length)

  • 2x4 lumber (quantity depends on the desired length and height of the bench)

  • Wood screws

  • Outdoor cushion (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Choose a flat and level surface for your bench. Lay out the cinder blocks in the desired shape and distance apart. Make sure the blocks are level with each other.

  2. Cut your 2x4 lumber to fit the length of the cinder block arrangement. These will be the seat supports for your bench.

  3. Screw the 2x4 supports onto the top of the cinder blocks using wood screws. Make sure the supports are level and secure.

  4. Cut additional 2x4 lumber to fit the desired height of your bench. These will be the legs of the bench.

  5. Attach the legs to the seat supports using wood screws. Make sure they are level and secure.

  6. Optional: Add an outdoor cushion to your bench for comfort and style.

Your DIY outdoor bench is now complete and ready for use!
